NORTHERN ATTITUDE
Whether the weather is cold, whether the weather is hot,
Whether the weather is fair, whether the weather is not.
We'll weather the weather whatever the weather,
And whether we like it or not!
My brain is too numb with cold to remember from whom I learned this little ditty. Perhaps it was Dr. Seuss's book of terrible tongue twisters. I think that it can be sung as a round...
Right now, at my house it is snowing big time! I checked the thermometer on the deck and it's reading 37 degrees. Isn't it too warm to snow? I think I'm having a cabin fever relapse! HELP!

Woke from nap to find sun shining on north side of house and huge snowflakes descending, like down feathers, on the south side. This rattled my jelled brain as I have always expected rivers to flow from north to south (the Nile does not), southern lands to be warm (the Andes Mts have snow), dark headed people to live in the south and blondes in the north, etc. My entire life has been lived just to find out how utterly wrong I can be every instant of every day. So take heed, it could happen to you..BW
ReplyDeleteDear Ellen has been working to set up an individual tel. line here at the house for me. Three-four weeks have been involved and Fair Point our useless phone company has never arrived, though they have set dates. Can any one tell me why our Govenor isn't on top of both broadband service and tel. service in this state and making of the highest priority that Vermont de delivered into the 21st century so businesses will want to locate here?? Both services are as necessary as electricity and the orignal instalation of tel. service. bw
ReplyDeleteWell I'm down south in Florida visiting my Dad and have a temporary break from the extended winter in VT. So in the moment the reality that flowers bloom and sun shines sending down warmth can happen simultaneously as cold winds and snow flakes expands my belief in all things change. So hang on everyone up North - warmer weather is close. As I enjoy my visit south I look forward to being back in the chilly hills of Sandgate soon. Much love to all - and give that phone company hell and demand some attention - maybe that will help!
