Good morning, Bunny... and friends.... Some of you may not know that Bunny has wisely given up driving after a mishap on Jan. 20th. Bunny fared better than the car and has decided that it is not practical to have it fixed. Bunny and Mallory and I had a wonderful outing the other day and we made her promise to let us know her needs. On her part, she asked that we e-mail the night before if we are going to Manchester or Bennington and would not mind taking her along. Like most of us, it is hard to ask but easy to pick up on an invitation!

Looks like we dodged a bullet on this latest storm but winter still seems long this year. I am looking forward to a Florida trip though I will miss some time Bunny and I had planned there together... Bunny... we will visit TJMaxx when I get back! Love, Nancy

  1. Ahhh - Driving Miss Bunny! - how we all must relate with a heavy heart the reality of not driving. That freedom of jumping in our car and being in our own protected universe - hands on the wheel - foot on the pedal and most definetly in charge. Can we really understand the impact of the end of such freedom? Can we imagine all of a sudden having to wait for someone to drive us around.
Perhaps we can individually try and express the frustration that may take place in this transition . . . I remember living in NYC - without a car and not having had to drive for years - then I never missed the convenience of driving my own car.
But in the hills of southern Vermont - there are no taxis to hail or bus stops on the corner. BUT we have the loving understanding of friends - who are so very willing to gently aid our dearest Bunny as she transcends this momentous time. - It deserves a celebration - let's do lunch again soon and commiserate on the many delusions of freedom we believe are real.

  2. Thanks for the info on how to post a comment... I had not known that.

I will be in Florida from the 10th til the 19th and Doug is gone now for a few days but a lunch to commiserate on the illusions/delusions and just to be together sounds great. Nany
